Wedding planner brand meets wellness retreat—Sideways & Co.

Meet Meghan, the founder of Sideways & Co.
She’s all about leaning into the wellness approach of wedding planning & design. She believes wedding planning doesn’t have to feel stressful and you certainly don’t have to design what a wedding “should” look like.
Instead, lean into what feels good for you and your partner. As Meghan puts it, “Sometimes getting off the straight and narrow path and going sideways leads you to unexpected adventures, magical moments and true to you experiences.”

The Before
Before the rebrand, Sideways & Co. felt far too young for the target audience it was trying to reach. Instead of couples in their 30-40s who have a wedding budget of 30k-100k, they were getting DIY and low-budget brides.
She had big dreams to turn her creative side biz into her full time career. And just wait until you see the weddings she designs because holy cow she’s incredibly talented at what she does! It was time her brand and website reflected that.

The Vibe for the Wedding Planner Brand: Fun, Elevated, Warm, Inviting
Meghan said she wanted her brand to “feel like they had one glass of champagne, warm sunshine on their skin, a cool breeze touching their cheeks, fully present in the moment and like it is ok to just be them.”
We wanted a brand that felt light and airy to give that calm feel, like they’re at a wellness retreat. But we also needed touches of fun and personality.
To add in that fun vibe, I designed some custom illustrations to her branding. These were SO much fun to make and added in that fun visual impact we wanted on Meghan’s custom Showit site.

I mean, look at them!!!! Look at how CUTE!!! 🤭
We even made them into a brand pattern that she can use as a background behind opt-in forms, social media posts, packaging for client gifts, etc!
Once the brand was complete, we moved onto designing her custom Showit website. (See the portfolio to see the full brand!)

Designing the Custom Showit Website for a Wedding Planner Brand
The website came together so effortlessly and we couldn’t be more obsessed.
The blues and greens give that wellness approach we were going for, while the peach tone balances it out and adds in that bit of warmth. The font choices add that elevated touch and the illustrations bring in some fun.

The illustrations act as a way to show off the wedding planning and designing process. We’ve got a calendar to act as the planning phase, a mood board to act as the design phase, and two champagne glasses to act as the celebrating phase.
Showit also has some incredible sliding galleries that show off the stunning weddings she’s designed (See more of the website inside the portfolio or scroll through her live site!).
I’m literally obsessed and she was too! 🤩
““When I saw the brand, I thought ‘Oh WOW, she nailed it!I’m fully booked out for the year! I keep getting so many inquiries – go new branding! Thank you for making a masterpiece. I am absolutely in love with this refresh!”
